Jeu d'Esprit Waltz (solo version) was written in 1980 for a good family friend and accordion enthusiast, Mitch ZelackWith its lilting phrases and some technically challenging sections, it does remind one of French musettes and other French waltzes. Jeu d' Esprit translates to "witty trifle." The recording below is the duet version, however, the Accordion 1 part of the duet is also the solo version.
