Invention in F is one of three original free bass contrapuntal inventions by Joseph Natoli written in the Baroque style as an homage to J. S. Bach. One night while on a business trip in Chicago, and without having an instrument with him, he decided to pull out his computer and Finale notation software to compose this invention which was born a few hours later. One of Joseph's favorite things to do is compose music in the style of the old masters, so along with Baroque, he has also written two sonatas in the Classical style and another sonata in the style of Scarlatti.
