Invention in C is one of three original free bass contrapuntal inventions by Joseph Natoli written in the Baroque style as an homage to J. S. Bach. Like Inventaion in G, Invention in C is a little more complex than Invention in F and is quite lively in 6/8 time. This recording below is performed on digital accordion on a quite realistic harpsichord orchestral sound to give it even more authenticity for the Baroque period. One of Joseph's favorite things to do is compose music in the style of the old masters, so along with Baroque, he has also written two sonatas in the Classical style and another sonata in the style of Scarlatti.
