Invention in G is one of three original free bass contrapuntal inventions by Joseph Natoli written in the Baroque style as an homage to J. S. Bach. Invention in G is a little more complex than Invention in F and takes a few more harmonic liberties that would not likely have been used by J.S. Bach. This recording below is performed on digital accordion on the Steinway grand piano orchestral sound. One of Joseph's favorite things to do is compose music in the style of the old masters, so along with Baroque, he has also written two sonatas in the Classical style and another sonata in the style of Scarlatti.
